Artist Statement

Art is a way to connect with and better understand others. Unfortunately, many people feel uncomfortable and unqualified to view or talk about art. My goal, as an artist, is to make the connection to others clearer by using fun, colorful, and nostalgic media. I don’t like to limit myself with pretension, mediums, or preset meanings. Through the use of glass, found objects, print, and mixed media works become light, lively, and playful. By using vivid, saturated colors; exciting patterns; bright lighting; and various textures/materials, works created are fun and inviting that are both 3D and 2D. Anything and everything is made to help people feel joy and to make life a little less shitty. Hopefully, by using the stuff that makes me happy, other people feel happy too.
